i know that your training volume is typical of many pro's, however I am certain you will get a better response with less training overall, not just in reducing recovery training volume.

By looking at your training volume, for sure the first place I would look for the culprit to your endurance problem is chronic overreaching. I don't see any true recovery time in there.

this one is a tough nut to crack. training may become based on fear at times. "if i train less I will lose what I have gained".

In fact i am certain your performance will increase with more recovery training and less training overall.

A lactate tip: If lactate is higher than usual, stop your training and switch to recovery.

try recovery rides of no more than 40 minutes duration at a lactate level of no more than 1.7 mmol/l. if you can't get you lactate below this for 25 to 30 klm/ hr pace, you're in more training trouble than you think.

however, you should be able to get as low as 1.1 for this speed over 40 minutes.

very intersted in your lactate measurments for 40 minutes at 25 to 30klm/ hr.

I am intersted in working this out with you.
