Joe was mentioning that 200 watts should correlate with about 35 klm/hr according to computations on the analytic cycling.com web page. I haven’t had this experience, but Joe may not have used a height of 6'2" for frontal mass variable.

I have tested and retested my heart rate at 30 klm/ hr on the road, and this new setting that Herb came up with is as near to perfect match as I think I'm going to get. 200 Watts is correlating well with a not only the tacx 30k, but a true 30k on the road.

Quoting Joes' earlier post:
"These points have been discussed on the wattage forum:

?
There, the method seems to focus on adjusting the pressure on the tire and doing a roll-down test from 25 mph, which should take 10 seconds. It would be interesting to compare your approach with this."

Coast down time from 40k (about 25mph) was 6 sec give or take 1 second, with the "Herb Factor". It seems 10 seconds would give the lower resistance that previously did not compare well to the speeds on my road bike (yes my computer is calibrated well on the road bike).

I have more confidence in Herbs calibration than either the factory setting or the one from analytic cycling.
