: Hi all,

: I bought a Flow + the i-Magic upgrade last week, and it's a really neat training tool. I live in Ottawa and we spend a lot of time in Gatineau Park. I'd like to program the loop we do in the park for which I have an elevation profile. What I don't have though is the conversion formula to transform elevation to slope settings on the Tacx. Anybody have any ideas on how to perform this ? I could calculate the slope of a given segment (say between km 1.5 and 1.75) and then try and convert that to a slope setting, but which one to use (it ranges from -4 to +9) ? Many thanks, Bryan.

It's an interesting idea. You would probably need to do something with equivalent power. Figure out some numbers equating slope to power for a certain speed for the road and the Tacx.
