Hey everyone...it's been a while...still not much time to think about all the good stuff Juerg and Chris have given me...almost overwhelming...the more you know the more questions you have...anyways...some thoughts/questions for Juerg or anyone...from what I gather, you periodize your year (i hope I'm right) based on targeting different systems and attempting to change them...ie. structural, neuromuscular, metabolic...now...I'm assuming each workout within each period meant to target a specific purpose...is this correct...with each workout do you attempt to create a fatigue within the particular system...I don't really see a point of training at all unless you are planning to create a fatigue within a particular system...so what's the point in going out for a 1.5 hour ride if your not fatiguing anything, or what you're trying to target...correct or no...or do you/can you work on cummulative fatigue...for someone who can't/isn't training 3-5 hours a day how do you create a fatigue in certain systems...if I want to try to move my fibre typing down the continuum to more type x/I typing (if you can do this) but can't get in more than 1.5 hours a day, is there even a point to this type of training or trying to target a structural adaptation...I would love to train 3 hours a day, but until the late spring/summer I can't (I'm a teacher so I can in the summer!!!!)...that's about all I got...right now...I guess I'm really just wondering what's the point of training if you can't fatigue a system that you want/need to adapt for future success or building...thanks...
