BCAA = british Columbia Automobile Association ?
Hey you need this if you are in the Ditch , because you are too lazy to bike.

Or BCAA = branched chain amino acids.
So if you have your bike in your car and you have to bike from Quesnel to Vancouver home you have to :

1. Choose an A 1 intensity. So you run not out of gas.
App. 2000 - 3000 kcal storage of glucose versus 140'000 on Fat. Even for you ,you skinny guy.
So your plan is to go on STF motor and FFA energy supply.
Problem : An increase energy flux in FFA over a relative long period of time seems to produces a problem. FFA in the plasma seems to release Tryptophan from your Albumin binding and releases this into your blood. ( it will turn in free tryptophan.
What's the problem with this ?
Just imagine 2 groups of kids , Group BCAA and Group Tryptophan. The BCAA kids are keen to work in school , the Trypto kids are keen to go to school to sleep.
Now there is only one Bus ( carrier ) but not enough space.
So BCAA and Tryptophan are fighting for the same carrier on the brain barrier, and if the ratio is in favour of Tryptophan they win and use the carrier into the brain.
This creates a situation where a neurotransmitter ( 5 HT = 5 hydroxytryptamine ) gets formed and this seems to induce a whole set of reactions like :induce of sleep, depress motor neuron excitability , influences autonomic and endocrinje function, supresses appetite and could be the cause of physiological and psychological fatigue ( central fatigue).
This specific topic was one of the reason of the testing we did on the wekend and we may see later a whole set of new questions and some critical view of ( general assumtion ) classical believe in training ideas.
That's the short answer to your BCAA question
