Thanks Cris,
Finally I found somebody I can agree with.
I try to make the funny joke." You can be certified , but are you sure you are qualified ".
After 8 years of education I had to start to learn and 20 years later I still have no idea how every thing works really in exercises. I still feel I know not a heck of a lot. What surprises me over and over again , how secure some personal 40 hours trainer can convince their client about something , which is completly crap , but they believe it.
Their definition of fitness is : " No hair on the chest , a artifically brow skin and a six - pack and you are in.) ( May be the hairloss comes from some hormonal changes you know what I mean). I still this days have always the feeling , and I tell this to athletes or patients , that this is a proposal only , and we may have to reasses in , or after a few weeks to see , whether it is doing what it was planned for.
We have people they believe just running a Lactate protocol is the key for a training program.
After any test we do , there are still a lot of open questions left , and I am thankful on athletes like Geoff , Ryder , Martina , kris and others , that after all this years , they learned to think for , with and against me to get the best possible training out of our ideas , with the knowledge that it could always be better and that we still, and , or, more and more make some bigger or smaller mistakes.
Remember art and science .
One of my tools to get somehow a bit smarter is this forum, where I get ideas and critical thoughts , they keep us on the floor.
Thanks a Frank , Cris and all the othe guys , who try to keep this Forum on a certain level. Juerg
